Diplomate of JSTP
Scope
In order to meet the increasing demand to verify the quality of pathological assessments in the safety testings for chemicals which are conducted in compliance with the Good Laboratory Practice Standards, the Society has established the board certification system to evaluate competency of toxicologic pathologists and to promote toxicologic pathology as the independent category of science.
Eligibility of Candidates
- Shall be a full member of the Japanese Society of Toxicologic Pathology during the continuous or intermittent past three years, or longer.
- Shall gain 80 points or more on the attached score table (PDF).
Examination
- Written examination
- Test of practical skills in macroscopic and microscopic diagnoses
- Other evaluations when necessary
Examination fee
Forty thousand Japanese yens.
Accreditation
- Accreditation fee is 20 thousand Japanese yens.
- Certification shall be renewed every 5 years (see below).
- Certification shall be revoked in case when the attitudes and/or behaviors of diplomats are illegal and/or judged to be improper by the Board of Directors of the Japanese Society of Toxicologic Pathology.
Renewal of certification
Certification shall be renewed every 5 years.
Eligibility
- Shall be a full member of JSTP, the Japanese Society of Toxicologic Pathology.
- Shall be a profession in charge of toxicologic pathology or its related field.
- Shall gain 100 points or more on the attached score table (PDF).
Renewal fee
Thirty thousand Japanese yens.
